Halo Infinite’s latest season, Reckoning, is now available and brings the game to new heights. With exciting new features, reimagined game modes, and a range of cosmetic updates, this is the biggest content drop yet.
New Maps and Game Modes
Season five introduces two new Arena maps exclusively. Forbidden takes players back to Delta Halo from Halo 2, offering a competitive experience in Forerunner ruins. Prism is an asymmetrical map set in a mine where Needler crystals are harvested, creating deadly hazards.
The Extraction game mode from Halo 4 also makes a return, adding a strategic twist to gameplay. Players must arm and defend Extraction Sites across the map to score points, requiring teamwork and careful planning.
Battle Pass and Cosmetics
The battle pass for season five is packed with Flood-themed cosmetics and refurbished armor from previous titles. The number of tiers has been reduced from 100 to 50, but each tier offers more rewards, ensuring players get the same amount of content.
Competitive Loadouts
In response to feedback from the pro scene, the Bandit Evo replaces the Battle Rifle as the starting weapon for ranked and HCS tournaments. This new variant offers enhanced accuracy and aims to increase the skill gap in competitive play.
AI Toolkit for Forge Mode
Casual players and Forge creators will be excited about the arrival of an AI toolkit for Infinite’s Forge mode. This allows players to spawn various enemy and ally types from the campaign, enabling the creation of unique PvE and PvPvE experiences.
Additional Updates
Season five also brings new Forge canvases, the ability to earn battle pass XP in custom games, a rework of the main menu UI, and numerous bug fixes. Additionally, the new ‘Operations’ will be released later in the season.
Halo Infinite season five, Reckoning, is now live on all platforms, with the first Operation, Combined Arms, scheduled for release on November 14th.
