Karmine Corp Looks to Rebuild VALORANT Roster, ScreaM and Nivera on the Market

superadmin

Karmine Corp, one of the EMEA teams in the VALORANT Champions Tour, is planning a major overhaul of their roster heading into 2024. Reports suggest that the organization is putting all of its players except one up for sale, including the renowned brother duo of ScreaM and Nivera. The team aims to retain Shin, who has been a standout performer throughout the VCT 2023 season. Additionally, Karmine Corp is considering coaching changes, with Happy and Eng being potential candidates for the role.

This decision marks a significant shift for the team, as they had previously built their roster around the core of ScreaM and Nivera. The brothers’ success with Team Liquid had initially fueled high expectations for Karmine Corp. However, as the 2023 season progressed, the team faced disappointing results and underwhelming performances.

The team’s struggles began early on, leading to mounting pressure from the community. Newzera voluntarily stepped down from the active roster, leaving Karmine Corp without a suitable substitute. In his absence, ZE1SH, the assistant coach, filled in but failed to alter the team’s trajectory. Ultimately, Karmine Corp’s season came to an end in July when they were defeated by NAVI in the EMEA LCQ.

ScreaM took to Twitter to express his frustration with the season, acknowledging the difficulties the team faced and questioning the decision to abandon a position. He assumed the role of captain at times and experienced the worst results of his FPS career. Despite his efforts, Karmine Corp struggled to compete against top-tier teams like NAVI, Fnatic, and Team Liquid.

As the 2023-24 off-season approaches, roster changes are expected across the VALORANT scene. Karmine Corp is no exception, as they seek to move on from their 2023 players and aim for higher achievements in 2024.
