Get ready to rock out on Summoner’s Rift with the latest addition to the League of Legends universe. HEARTSTEEL, a band comprised of failed solo artists, is set to showcase their combined talents in a unique way. The band members, including Ezreal, Yone, Kayn, K’Sante, Sett, and Aphelios, will be transformed into edgy, music-oriented versions of themselves in-game with the release of their official splash arts. These new skins will be available on Nov. 8 with Patch 13.22, just in time for the 2023 World Championship finals.
Each member of HEARTSTEEL will have their own individual splash art, highlighting their unique quirks and personalities. The splash arts closely resemble the appearances and personalities showcased in the band’s debut song “PARANOIA” and its accompanying music video. Fans can expect to see Alune, Aphelios’ sister, in his artwork, although she won’t be visible in-game.
The HEARTSTEEL skins are expected to be featured in the in-game Worlds event store, where players can purchase them using Worlds tokens. Chromas and borders associated with each skin will also be available for purchase. While the Prestige skin for this batch has not been confirmed, leaks suggest that HEARTSTEEL Yone will receive the prestigious treatment and be exclusive to the Worlds event shop, alongside Prestige Coven Akali.
Players will have the opportunity to test out the HEARTSTEEL skins on League’s PBE (Public Beta Environment) before their official release. This allows players to provide feedback to the developers and ensure the skins are polished and balanced.
It is yet to be confirmed, but fans can hope to see HEARTSTEEL perform during the opening ceremony of the Worlds finals on Nov. 19. This follows the tradition set by Riot with their previous virtual bands, Pentakill, K/DA, and True Damage.
