Champion Buffs:
Janna: Following her recent rework, Janna has fallen short and is in need of a buff. The developers believe she is on the right path and will be tweaking her in the upcoming patch.
Riven: Riven has been weak for quite some time now, so the developers have decided to give her a much-needed buff. They have identified her as a legitimate problem and are working on finding a solution.
Vel’koz: Both in the mid lane and as a support, Vel’koz is not performing well. The buffs in this patch will aim to improve his utility in both roles.
Trundle: In the current meta, Trundle is too weak to be a viable tank threat in the top lane. To address this, he will receive a buff to make him more competitive.
Champion Nerfs:
Jarvan IV, Naafiri, Ziggs, Briar, and K’Sante will all be receiving nerfs in Patch 13.23. Ziggs has a high win rate, making the nerf necessary. Jarvan IV and Briar will be toned down to prevent them from being overly strong. Additionally, the developers acknowledge that both K’Sante and Naafiri are currently overpowered and need to be brought back in line.
Turret Gold Changes:
In this patch, there will also be adjustments to inner and inhibitor tower gold. The goal is to provide a higher share of the gold as local gold, which should help balance snowballing and benefit certain roles.
