As BlizzCon approaches, World of Warcraft players eagerly await the announcement of the next expansion. Among the numerous leaks circulating on Reddit, one in particular stands out as the most convincing so far. On October 25th, a user named Upset-Setting-501 shared what appears to be a genuine leak of a new continent called Avaloren. The leak includes four screenshots, suggesting that Blizzard may once again follow their tried-and-true formula of one continent, four zones, eight dungeons, and a new raid.
Some players have expressed their belief in the authenticity of this leak, citing the inclusion of a dinosaur in one of the screenshots that matches a battle pet from a previous event. However, others remain skeptical, suggesting that the leak could be the work of artificial intelligence and completely fabricated. Additionally, there are those who still hold out hope for a world revamp in honor of WoW’s 20th anniversary.
Avaloren is said to be a continent located on the opposite side of Azeroth, providing players with the full story of the Titans and their origins. The continent is rumored to feature four zones reminiscent of past areas, including Grizzly Hills, Bastion, Durotar, and Val’sharah.
While there have been few leaks about the upcoming expansion thus far, fans can expect Blizzard to unveil more details at BlizzCon 2023, scheduled for November 3rd and 4th.
