New Ursaluna Form and Ogerpon Mask Forms Revealed
Rumors and leaks are swirling around the upcoming Pokémon DLC, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Part 1, titled The Teal Mask, is set to release on September 13th, but information about it has already started circulating. Leaked data from updated game files suggests that there will be a new form for Ursaluna, as well as different forms for Ogerpon depending on the mask it wears.
According to the leaks, Ursaluna will have a Blood Moon form, which transforms the Hisuian Pokémon into a powerful Normal/Steel-type. This form was acquired when Ursaluna drifted ashore in a new land and adapted to its surroundings. The Blood Moon Ursaluna has a unique ability called Mind’s Eye, which allows it to ignore changes in evasiveness and accuracy. It can also see in the dark, enabling it to hit Ghost-type Pokémon with Normal and Fighting-type moves. Additionally, it possesses a move called Blood Moon, which unleashes its spirit’s full power from a blood-red full moon.
Ogerpon, on the other hand, has different forms depending on the mask it wears. The leaks reveal four mask forms: Grey, Red, Blue, and Teal. Each mask form has its own unique characteristics and abilities. The Teal Mask form, which has been showcased in trailers, appears to boost Ogerpon’s Speed. The Grey Mask form enhances its defenses, making it as solid as a cornerstone. The Red Mask form is the most aggressive, bombarding enemies with fiery intensity. The Blue Mask form excels in both Attack and Defense, unleashing moves like a gushing spring. It is important to note that it is still unclear whether the masks can be removed or not.
In addition to these new forms, the leaks also provide information about other Pokémon. Applin’s evolution, Dipplin, is said to consist of two creatures sharing the same special apple as a home. It is rumored to have a second evolution in The Indigo Disk DLC. Another Pokémon, Sinistcha, appears to be a pre-evolution of Sinistea, similar to Poltchageist’s relationship with Polteageist. Sinistcha tricks people into drinking it, draining their life force. It has a move called Matcha Gotcha, which can heal the user based on half the damage it deals and potentially burn the target.
While these leaks provide exciting details about the upcoming DLC, it is important to approach them with caution until they are officially confirmed with the release of The Teal Mask on September 13th.
