The latest patch for Lords of the Fallen, version 1.1.282, brings significant updates to key weapons, enemy AI, and general improvements. Players can expect a more challenging experience as cheese strategies are addressed and PvP weapons are rebalanced.
Weapon Changes
The Scarlet Shadow, a formidable opponent, has been made even more resourceful to counter players who try to hide or exploit certain assets. It can now navigate platforms more effectively, making it harder to escape.
PvP weapons, particularly boss weapons, have undergone substantial changes. They now have 10 levels instead of five, with modified upgrade curves to prevent them from being overpowered in PvP battles. Additionally, the mana costs for Pieta’s Blessed Reflections and Infernal Hounds invocation spells have been significantly increased. Exploding bolts and shattering bolts now require more ammunition to use. The Corrupted Banner Javelin has also been nerfed in terms of damage output and increased usage cost.
To facilitate this transition, the cost of Deralium Chunks at the shrine has been temporarily reduced. This allows players to easily upgrade their boss weapons from five to 10 and encourages experimentation with different weapons and builds.
AI and Performance Improvements
The developers have addressed over 100 minor instances, including AI behavior, performance issues in HDR, and rare crashes. Some of the fixed crashes include those related to faction wars AIs casting certain abilities, nanite sending specific data to GPUs, AIs and players targeting each other with specific abilities, and aiming in ranged mode under specific circumstances.
