Second Dinner, the developer behind Marvel Snap, has announced that they will be reverting the recent nerf on the Mobius M. Mobius card. The card, inspired by Owen Wilson’s character in the Loki series, had its ability changed in the Halloween update, but due to player feedback, it will now be restored to its previous functionality as an Ongoing card with a cost increase.
The change to Mobius M. Mobius in the Halloween update removed its Ongoing ability and made it an On Reveal effect that lasted only one turn. However, after considering player concerns, Second Dinner has decided to revert the card back to its original Ongoing ability. The upcoming OTA scheduled for November 9th will implement this change, making Mobius M. Mobius a three-cost, three-power card.
The initial nerf to Mobius M. Mobius had a significant impact on the metagame, causing shifts in top decks and the decline of previously dominant cards like Zabu, Sera, and Death. Decks that focused on pushing Power by playing cards for their normal Energy Costs became more prevalent. However, the community’s outcry over the card’s diminished playability prompted Second Dinner to swiftly address the issue.
With the new season featuring Ms. Marvel on the horizon, the reversion of Mobius M. Mobius will allow the card to regain its place in the meta. The slight increase in cost aims to balance out its powerful ability, ensuring a more balanced gameplay experience.
