Marvel Snap continues to dominate the digital card game scene, with new playable cards constantly being added. As a result, older cards like Kingpin have fallen out of favor due to their inconsistent abilities. However, one Reddit user recently discovered a hidden combo that turns Kingpin into a devastating weapon.
In a post on October 23, Reddit user 650fosho shared their successful strategy using Kingpin in turn six. The key to their victory was the synergy between Kingpin and his allies, Storm and Juggernaut.
Kingpin’s ability allows him to destroy cards that are moved to his location, but this only activates on turn six. However, 650fosho cleverly turned this limitation to their advantage.
In the final turn, they played Juggernaut on the right Vibranium Mines location. Juggernaut has the power to move all cards played by the opponent to another location if there are open spots available. Taking advantage of this, the opponent played four cards in Vibranium Mines, which were then moved to the Flooded location by Storm.
This setup created a lockdown scenario, as the opponent had no choice but to play most of their cards in Vibranium Mines. Storm’s ability to flood a location prevented any further card plays on that location from the next turn onwards.
With Kingpin positioned in the Flooded location, all the cards moved by Juggernaut were destroyed, leaving the opponent with only four cards in the Valley of the Land location. This combo allowed 650fosho to win two out of three locations, outscoring their opponent in the Flooded location (10-0) and Vibranium Mines (16-0). The gamer’s three-cost cards were further boosted by Silver Surfer, who provided an additional plus two Power.
The Reddit post garnered over 1,500 upvotes, with users praising the synergy between Kingpin and Storm. “Kingpin and Storm! Why didn’t I think of that? Great combo,” one user commented.
Marvel Snap offers players a wide range of cards to choose from, and sometimes overlooked characters like Kingpin can prove to be powerful when utilized effectively. This player’s discovery highlights the strategic depth and potential for surprising combos in the game.
