Marvel Snap’s latest over-the-air update brings exciting changes to the game’s meta cards. While some powerful cards have received nerfs, struggling ones have been given significant buffs. This patch has the potential to greatly influence the gameplay experience.
Elsa Bloodstone and Loki, the two season pass cards that require purchasing the pass for instant access, have both been nerfed in this update. This decision may not sit well with the community.
As the spooky season comes to a close, we aim to shake things up by adjusting the current metagame and introducing a few buffs!
Card | Old Stats | New Stats |
---|---|---|
Elsa Bloodstone | Cost: 2 Power: 2 If you play another card to fill a location, give it +3 Power |
Cost: 2 Power: 2 If you play another card to fill a location, give it +2 Power |
Loki | Cost: 3 Power: 2 Ability: [Unchanged] |
Cost: 4 Power: 2 Ability: [Unchanged] |
“Elsa Bloodstone quickly became a dominant force in the metagame,” Second Dinner stated in the patch notes. “While we intended for her to be a strong card, we took some risks that we now acknowledge. We will learn from this experience moving forward.”
Regarding Loki, the developers hope that the increased cost of four will encourage players to strategize and consider the cards they acquire and how to best utilize them, rather than relying solely on raw power.
Angela, a valuable ally in bounce decks, has undergone significant changes. Her cost remains at two, but her power has been increased to two as well. However, she will now only gain one power each time a card is played at her location.
On the buffs side, Uatu’s power has been increased from one to two, Hellcow now boasts eight power instead of six, and Spectrum will play with seven power instead of five.
