The debate was ignited when a Mercy main shared a video showcasing a successful revive despite being blocked by a Reinhardt shield and executing the ability from a higher floor. This incident has prompted outcry from the community, with players demanding that Blizzard address the issue promptly.
The video has led many Overwatch players to label the revive ability as “super inconsistent” and advocate for changes to be made. One popular suggestion is to limit the ability to line of sight, as players were surprised by the distance at which the revive worked in the clip. Some individuals have even mocked the ability, claiming it is unfair. While there are defenders of the ability, even they acknowledge the potential for adjustments.
