Popular Call of Duty YouTuber JGOD believes that the new Tactical Stance movement mechanic in Modern Warfare 3 is broken, giving players an unfair advantage when ambushing unsuspecting enemies.
The shift away from the usual bunny hop mechanic is evident in Modern Warfare 3, with the introduction of the Tac Stance feature. This new mechanic focuses on Loadout and Equipment, allowing players to equip Infantry Vests and Tactical Boots mid-match in Multiplayer.
JGOD explains how the Tac Stance is supposed to work. It switches your view into a slanted hip-fire sight, which tightens the bullet spread and improves precision. This can even be used to switch your primary assault rifle into a submachine gun.
JGOD demonstrates the strength of using Tac Stance with shotguns. In confined spaces like corridors and small buildings, using Tac Stance while sliding maintains weapon accuracy and power. This eliminates the need to expose your back while peeking around corners.
Tac Stance not only enhances power and accuracy, but it also enables a more aggressive playstyle. Players can push enemies in tight spots and effectively deal with contested areas in game modes like Domination and Hardpoint. Slide canceling while switching to Tac Stance allows for faster aiming down sights when traversing the map.
Slide canceling leaves players vulnerable to incoming fire, but the Tac Stance provides a window of opportunity to shoot precise hip-fire shots, giving players the upper hand in fights and allowing for ambush-style techniques that overwhelm the opposition.
While JGOD acknowledges that more work is needed to refine the Tac Stance before Modern Warfare 3’s full release, this new mechanic is incredibly powerful for players who prefer aggressive gameplay and enjoy repositioning mid-fight.
