Moist Esports has revealed the latest member of its Apex Legends Global Series team for the upcoming season. Zachary “Gild” Dennis, a 20-year-old player, will be joining the roster after making the switch from NRG. Gild will be playing alongside Australian players Ben “Wxltzy” Walton and Matthew “Emtee” Trengove.
The rumors were confirmed when Gild participated in trials with the Moist team earlier this month. Not only did he perform well in APAC South scrims, but he also helped the team secure victory in the Kurupt Cup on October 12th. Gild’s impressive skills and potential have earned him a reputation as a rising star in the ALGS.
Gild initially entered the league as part of Team Liquid, which achieved second place in the 2022 Split 2 playoffs. His exceptional performance caught the attention of NRG, and he joined their roster in August 2022. Although there were high expectations for the team, they struggled to replicate their initial success, with criticisms directed towards Gild’s management by Christopher “sweetdreams” Sexton during the Split Two Playoffs.
Moist Esports has had a solid record in the ALGS, qualifying for all three LAN events in 2023. Their best result was a sixth-place finish in the Split One Playoffs. With the addition of Gild and their move to the North American region, the team hopes to achieve even greater success in the upcoming season.
