Mortal Kombat 1 for Nintendo Switch to Receive Fixes for Performance and Visual Issues, Promises Co-Creator Ed Boon

superadmin

Mortal Kombat 1 on the Nintendo Switch has left fans disappointed due to performance and visual problems. However, co-creator Ed Boon has assured fans that fixes are on the way. In an interview with the BBC, Boon stated that NetherRealm Studios is aware of the concerns and will be releasing an update to address them. While specific issues were not mentioned, Boon emphasized that anything deemed unacceptable will be fixed. He also reassured fans that NetherRealm Studios plans to support the game on the Switch, just as they did with Mortal Kombat 11.

The Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 has received criticism for its visuals, with a noticeable difference in quality compared to other platforms. It is important to note that only one change was made for this port, as NetherRealm Studios partnered with Shiver Entertainment for both Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 1 on the Switch. Shiver Entertainment was later acquired by Saber Interactive, which is listed as a support studio for the Mortal Kombat 1 port.

Despite the challenges faced by Saber Interactive’s parent company, Embracer Group, NetherRealm Studios remains committed to improving the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1. Boon’s promise to address the concerns and support the game suggests that the team is dedicated to enhancing the experience for players.
