Sledgehammer Games is addressing the frustrating matchmaking issues in MW3 by introducing non-disbanding lobbies. This highly requested feature will allow players to avoid long wait times and continue playing with the same teammates and opponents after each match. The developers have confirmed their plans to test this feature with a group of players and, if successful, implement it globally in Modern Warfare 3.
Non-disbanding lobbies, also known as persistent lobbies, eliminate the need for the game to find new players for each match. This results in significantly reduced matchmaking times and the opportunity to challenge skilled opponents from previous matches. It also allows players to choose to join the same lobby to avoid toxic behavior and intense competition.
While non-disbanding lobbies were present in previous Call of Duty games, they were removed in Modern Warfare 2019 due to potential conflicts with the skill-based matchmaking system. However, it seems that Activision has listened to player feedback and decided to reintroduce this feature in Modern Warfare 3.
