A player in Fortnite encountered a mischievous bot that was able to loot a chest from a distance. When attempting to open a chest in Parque Placenter, the bot managed to snatch the loot through the floor, leaving the player empty-handed.
Normally, players must be in close proximity to a chest in order to open it. It should not be possible to access a chest through walls or other obstacles. This glitch, while not game-breaking, can be confusing and misleading.
The incident, which occurred on November 19, sparked amusement and surprise among players. One player mentioned that opening a chest through a wall is possible when playing on mobile, although this has not been confirmed.
Bots are an integral part of the battle royale experience in Fortnite, filling up lobbies to their maximum capacity. While there were numerous bugs when bots were first introduced, they have become less frequent over time.
As of now, no similar bug involving bots has been reported on Epic’s support Twitter or Trello board. Social media has also not shown any other instances of this glitch.
