Valve’s latest update for Dota 2 brings exciting changes to the game’s matchmaking and reporting systems. Alongside a revamped armory and cosmetic chest, players can now express their preferences by liking or disliking fellow players. This will influence the matchmaking algorithm, ensuring that disliked players are less likely to be matched with you in the future.
The reporting system has also undergone significant improvements. Players now have more options to choose from when reporting toxic behavior, such as toxic chat, toxic voice, smurfing, griefing, cheating, and role abuse. The reporting limit has been removed, allowing players to report toxic players at any time during a match.
Furthermore, Valve has introduced a new communication score to encourage positive interactions. When a player is reported for toxicity, the game chat will be recorded live. If the system detects toxic behavior, the reported players will be immediately muted for the rest of the match.
In addition to these changes, Dota 2 now features a streamlined armory, enhancing the inventory experience within the game. This update addresses fans’ long-standing wishes and offers a promising step towards a more enjoyable Dota 2 experience.
