New Weapon Collection “Imperium” Coming to VALORANT

superadmin

VALORANT’s upcoming Episode Seven, Act Two will introduce an exciting new weapon collection called Imperium. This collection features stunning skins for the Sheriff, Judge, Vandal, and Operator, as well as a double-bladed melee weapon. Each gun skin is priced at 2,175 VP, while the melee weapon costs 4,350 VP.

The highlight of the Imperium collection is its mythical dragon finisher, which engulfs the background and lingers until the end of the round. Inspired by dragons from East Asia and Chinese mythology, the collection showcases ornamental projections of jade and emerald, giving it a premium and lively look. The design team worked closely with their China team and drew inspiration from Chinese artifacts to incorporate gold ornaments into the gun design. The goal was to create weapons that felt like treasures imbued with magic.

The dragons in the Imperium collection are trapped inside jewels, and players will harness their mythical powers to deliver a grand finishing blow to their opponents. The collection offers four color variants to choose from: Imperium (Base), Pearl (White), Ruby (Red), and Obsidian (Black). Each variant represents a different dragon king and adds an extra touch of life to the collection.

Initially, the designers wanted to keep the dragon finisher small to avoid potential issues, but they realized that a larger-than-life dragon was more appealing. The early concepts made the dragon look like a snake, which didn’t capture the intended feeling. So, the team went back to the drawing board and redesigned the collection to bring out its full potential.

The Imperium collection was actually shelved during VALORANT’s beta in 2020 but has now been revived and redesigned to meet the standards of Episode Seven, Act Two. It will be released on August 29, along with the Battle Pass for Act Two and the game’s tenth map, Sunset, set in Los Angeles.

Get ready to wield the power of dragons with the Imperium collection in VALORANT’s latest update. These majestic weapons will not only give you a stylish edge but also unleash mythical forces upon your enemies. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to add some magic to your arsenal.
