This issue has left many returning players frustrated and confused as they try to navigate the new content.
Amazon Games, the developer of New World, is aware of the problem and has provided a list of the affected quests on its customer support page. These quests include “A Shadow Falls,” “Rage of the Mammoth,” “Secrets of the Heartgem,” and more.
Players have reported that some quests have disappeared entirely from their journals, making it impossible to continue where they left off. Even quests not listed by Amazon Games may have been affected, causing further frustration for players.
While it is understandable that the developers may have overlooked certain quest steps during the integration of the new expansion, players believe that ensuring access to the new and modified content should have been a top priority.
The sudden disappearance of main story quests has left many returning players in limbo, unable to progress through the game. Some players have been forced to start new quest chains, but are still missing access to the quests they were working on before the expansion.
