Although Counter-Strike 2 surpassed New World in sales on October 3rd, it should be noted that Valve’s sequel update is a free title, making the comparison less relevant. However, the New World DLC package is also performing well, securing a spot just below the full game on the sales charts.
Despite the increase in sales, The Angry Earth has not sparked a resurgence in player numbers. Currently, there are only 46,000 players in-game, with a peak of 50,000 in the last 24 hours. This is a far cry from the game’s initial peak of 900,000 players recorded at its launch.
For those still actively playing New World, The Angry Earth DLC finally delivers what players have been longing for: a mount system that allows for quick traversal of terrain without relying solely on the game’s fast-travel system.
