Nisqy’s Struggles on the International Stage

superadmin

Nisqy, the veteran mid laner, is facing a tough time finding success on the international stage. Despite his established presence in the Western League of Legends competitive scene, he has struggled to perform against major region competition.

In the recent League World Championship Swiss stage, Nisqy’s team, MAD Lions, suffered a defeat against Cloud9, North America’s second seed. This loss adds to Nisqy’s long list of shortcomings against teams from major regions.

Throughout his career, Nisqy has participated in seven international tournaments, including Mid-Season Invitationals and Worlds. However, he has only managed to secure two wins against major regions, which include teams from the LCS, LCK, and LPL.

In 2018, Nisqy played for Splyce and attended Rift Rivals, where he could only secure one win against Team Liquid. After joining Cloud9 in 2019, his team failed to secure any wins against major region teams, suffering losses at Rift Rivals and Worlds against G2 Esports and Griffin.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nisqy had to wait until the 2021 season for his next international appearance. He finally secured another win at Worlds by defeating the LPL’s Royal Never Give Up. However, his overall record at the tournament was 1-5, with losses against RNG, Hanwha Life Esports, and PSG Talon.

Since 2022, Nisqy has faced a series of defeats against major region League teams. He failed to secure a single win during MAD’s disappointing Worlds 2022 play-in stage and their recent struggles at MSI 2023. With the recent loss to C9, Nisqy’s record stands at a staggering 2-26 against major regions.

European fans are hoping for a change in this trend as MAD Lions face fellow LEC representative, Team BDS, in their next match at Worlds 2023. Stay tuned for all the action on Friday, Oct. 20.
