Maximize your loot during the Helltide event in Diablo 4 with this efficient farming route for collecting Aberrant Cinders in Dry Steppes. Follow this route to quickly gather as many Cinders as possible within the limited one-hour timeframe.
To begin, start from the south of Untamed Scarps and make your way up to the north of Khargai Crags. Stick to the periphery of the zones, as chests tend to spawn in these areas. While the chests may not appear in the exact same spots each time, they generally appear in the same general areas.
In a 10-minute run, one player was able to collect 600 Aberrant Cinders by opening small chests and defeating enemies along the way. By following this route, you can easily reach this number or even exceed it, as there are still plenty of chests and enemies to encounter beyond the 60% mark of the route.
This approach focuses on prioritizing chests over enemies, which may be a different strategy than what some players have considered. This particular route is especially useful because it covers an area that lacks a great triple event spot to run between.
Keep in mind that certain factors can affect your farming efficiency. If the Legion Event is taking place, it may be more beneficial to participate in that for acquiring Cinders. Additionally, the number of players in the Helltide area will impact the amount of Cinders available. Lastly, ensure that the area you choose for this route is currently active in the Helltide event.
Once you have collected a sufficient amount of Aberrant Cinders, you can use them to open Tortured Gifts, such as the Tortured Gift of Living Steel. These gifts provide unique items and materials for summoning bosses. The drop rate for Living Steel has been increased, making it easier to obtain enough for multiple Grigoire runs.
