Blizzard has officially confirmed the highly anticipated Mythic skin for Hanzo in Overwatch 2’s upcoming season seven. The news was initially leaked on social media, but it has now been confirmed by the official Overwatch 2 Twitter account.
In a short video shared on social media, Blizzard teased the new skin without revealing its appearance. The video featured a voice line that players are familiar with when Hanzo uses his Dragonstrike ultimate, accompanied by spectral dragons flying through the night sky. What sets these dragons apart is their skeletal design, which matches the leaked images that surfaced earlier.
This Mythic skin will be the seventh of its kind in Overwatch 2. Previous seasons introduced Mythic skins for two heroes in each role (support, DPS, and tank). The leaked screenshots hinted at a ghost-like or spectral theme for Hanzo’s skin, which aligns with the unique graphics of the skeletal dragons.
As with previous seasons, the Mythic Hanzo skin will likely be obtainable through the premium battle pass for season seven. The new season is set to begin on October 10, and fans can expect a closer look at the skin in the upcoming trailer, premiering on the official Overwatch 2 YouTube channel tomorrow morning.
