Overwatch 2’s upcoming crossover event with Diablo is set to bring a new game mode for players to enjoy. However, this isn’t the first time Blizzard has created skins for Overwatch heroes based on their popular RPG, Diablo.
One of the rarest cosmetics in Overwatch 2 is the exclusive Demon Hunter skin for Sombra, which was originally available only as a digital perk for BlizzCon attendees. But now, Blizzard has announced that a spinoff of this skin, called the Gilded Hunter, will be available to all players in season seven through the limited-time Halloween Terror Credits Shop.
The Halloween Terror Credits Shop allows players to acquire seasonal skins without spending OW coins. Instead, they can use OW credits earned by playing the game. While the Gilded Hunter skin is referred to as a “remix” by Blizzard, it is still an exciting addition to the game. With its name suggesting shiny gold accents, it is sure to pair perfectly with Sombra’s Golden Machine Pistol.
To make up for a bug during the game’s Anniversary Event, Blizzard is giving all players 3,000 OW credits if they log in between October 10th and 16th. The exact availability date of the Gilded Demon Hunter skin in the limited-time shop has not been announced yet. However, players can expect it to be available at some point during the Halloween Terror event, which runs from October 10th to November 1st.
Overall, Overwatch 2’s Diablo crossover event brings a highly sought-after skin for Sombra, allowing players to embrace the Demon Hunter aesthetic. With the Halloween Terror Credits Shop providing a new way to obtain seasonal skins, players can look forward to expanding their cosmetic collection without spending OW coins.
