The introduction of the pay-to-win Gaia Operator skin in Call of Duty’s Warzone has caused frustration among players. This skin, known for its almost entirely see-through torso and dark coloring, makes it difficult to spot opponents in the game. Unfortunately, the skin has also made its way into Modern Warfare 3, further aggravating players.
Players have expressed their anger and disbelief that the Gaia skin has not been addressed or nerfed by Infinity Ward. Its ability to blend into the environment, similar to the controversial Roze skin, makes it nearly invisible on maps like Wasteland or Estate. This issue is likely to persist in the new Warzone map as well.
One player shared a screenshot showcasing how well the Gaia skin can hide an Operator’s body in the ground, highlighting the difficulty in spotting opponents using this skin.
To rectify this problem, there are two potential solutions. The first option is to change the color of the Gaia skin, making it less prone to blending into the surroundings. Alternatively, Infinity Ward may need to adjust the game’s lighting system, as they did with the original Roze skin, to ensure that dark skins stand out more.
As of now, neither Infinity Ward nor Sledgehammer, the developer of Modern Warfare 3, have addressed the issue or provided any comment on the Gaia skin. Players can only hope that a resolution will be implemented soon to prevent the frustration caused by this overpowered skin.
