Player Beats Baldur’s Gate 3 Tactician Mode as Warlock and Paladin Dual-Wielding Salamis

superadmin

One player has achieved the incredible feat of completing the challenging Tactician mode campaign in Baldur’s Gate 3. They accomplished this by playing as a multiclassed Warlock and Paladin who wielded two pieces of Salami as weapons. While unconventional, the Salami’s club-like properties allowed them to deal damage and overcome the game’s toughest challenges.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, players have the freedom to play however they choose, and this player took full advantage of that. They not only conquered the difficult mode but did so with a unique and amusing playstyle. The possibilities in the game truly are endless.

The Salami, typically used as a camp supply for healing and resting, can also be utilized as a weapon due to its bludgeoning damage. Although not initially powerful, with the right combination of abilities, equipment, and strategy, it can become a formidable tool.

The player, known as cRPG Bro, developed a build centered around dual-wielding salamis and achieved remarkable results. Their character could deal over 700 damage and execute more than 13 attacks per turn. This impressive feat was made possible through careful stat allocation, class selection, and skill choices.

To replicate this build, players should start as a Warlock and multiclass into Paladin at level six. Choosing The Great Old One as the Warlock subclass and focusing on Charisma as the primary stat is crucial. Cantrips like Eldritch Blast, Friends, and Blade Ward, along with spells such as Hex and Armor of Agathys, should be prioritized.

Eldritch Invocations like Fiendish Vigour and Devil’s Sight enhance the character’s abilities. Later, acquiring Pact of the Blade, Mirror Image, Darkness, Mirror Step, Counterspell, and the Eldritch Invocation Repelling Blase will further strengthen the build. Taking the Oath of Vengeance as a Paladin and selecting the Defense fighting style are also important.

At level 10, players can continue leveling as a Paladin or opt for Fighter to gain Action Surge at level 12. Two-Handed Weapon Fighting should be acquired as well. These choices will maximize the character’s potential and ensure success in the Tactician mode campaign.

While this unconventional build may seem unusual, it demonstrates the versatility and creativity that Baldur’s Gate 3 offers its players. It proves that even seemingly insignificant items like salamis can become powerful weapons in the right hands.
