A player in Counter-Strike 2 received an unexpected surprise when opening an Operation Breakout case. Instead of the usual name for the top-tier P90: Asiimov skin, the weapon displayed another player’s name with an inappropriate label attached.
The label, which read “cry goatfucker!”, appeared on the P90 despite the player not having unlocked or named the skin themselves. Other weapons in the case did not have name tags, making the offensive label even more glaring.
Players speculate that this issue may be related to the Steam market, as the particular P90 Asiimov is at the top of the market listings. They believe that CS2 pulls existing items from the market to showcase skins for potential buyers. However, the exact cause of the issue remains unknown.
Glitches have been a common occurrence in CS2 since its full release, with new bugs popping up regularly. Just recently, a glitch was discovered that affected CS2’s new volumetric smokes, allowing players to throw grenades above the smoke and disperse it from below.
Valve, the developers of CS2, have been proactive in addressing these issues and have released multiple patches each week to combat the game’s problems. In fact, they have released 11 patches this month alone, demonstrating their commitment to providing a bug-free experience for players.
It remains to be seen whether this particular glitch will be prioritized in future patches. In the meantime, players can expect to encounter unexpected name tags in their cases.
