League of Legends players are voicing their frustration over the recent buff given to K’Sante with Patch 13.21 on Oct. 26. This buff has potentially propelled him back into the meta, causing concern among the community.
A Reddit thread from Nov. 6 saw players discussing the current state of K’Sante and pleading with Riot Games to revert the changes made in the 13.21 update. The thread’s author expressed their exasperation, stating, “I am incredibly frustrated watching him wreak havoc in teamfights, effortlessly eliminating everyone while taking minimal damage. Why bother playing any other champion when K’Sante dominates the top lane?”
Commenters agreed that there were indeed issues with the champion. One of the top-rated comments highlighted the problem with tenacity against K’Sante, particularly due to his disruptive abilities. The comment read, “Riot needs to reconsider the balance of any ability that moves a champion; it is incredibly disorienting to play against.”
As of now, K’Sante is the sixth most-banned champion in League of Legends, with a ban rate of 21.8 percent in higher tiers of play. He is also the most-banned top laner. However, his win rate stands at 49.3 percent, according to League of Graphs.
K’Sante was released in November 2022 and has been a prominent figure in the meta, often stirring controversy within the community. Riot Games has made numerous changes to the champion on a monthly basis, including a recent slight rework on Oct. 11, which altered all of his abilities.
Shortly after the release of Patch 13.21, Riot Games noticed a significant increase in K’Sante’s win rate on the ladder. As a result, they made adjustments to the buffs introduced in the update. The cast time of his Q ability, Ntofo Strikes, was increased. Other minor improvements were made to his W ability, Path Maker, and his Ultimate, All Out.
The debate surrounding K’Sante’s balance is far from over among League players, and his performance on the competitive ladder may fluctuate in the coming weeks. This could potentially lead to further changes being implemented by Riot Games in the near future.
