Players Want Expanded Inventory Access in Baldur’s Gate 3

Xavier Ward

It’s been almost a month since the last major update for Baldur’s Gate 3, and players are eagerly anticipating the next patch. Fans have taken to social media to share their ideas for what they believe Larian Studios should add to the game.

One of the most requested features is the ability to access the inventory of companions who are not currently in the active party. This would be a huge convenience for players who like to switch up their party members regularly. Currently, players have to go through the tedious process of transferring items between companions before leaving them at camp. Being able to access or at least see a companion’s inventory while they are in camp would save players a lot of time and effort.

While some argue that this feature would break the immersion of the game, others point out that the game has already broken that immersion in other ways. For example, players can seamlessly exchange items between characters during combat or even when a character has died. So it seems odd that we can’t easily keep track of a companion’s inventory while they are in camp.

One suggestion that players particularly like is adding a barter option for companions in camp. This would allow players to interact with non-party members and take what they need without too much hassle.

Overall, players are excited about the potential improvements that could be made to Baldur’s Gate 3. The expanded inventory access is just one of many ideas that fans have put forward, and they hope that Larian Studios will take their suggestions into consideration for the next patch.
