Pokémon Go players can look forward to the return of the annual Festival of Lights event, which will feature new Pokémon from the Paldea region. The event will take place from November 7th to November 12th and will offer players various bonuses and unique spawns.
For the first time in Pokémon Go, players will have the opportunity to encounter and catch the Electric-type Pokémon Tadbulb, as well as evolve it into Bellibolt. Other Pokémon such as Pikachu, Vulpix, Ponyta, Magnemite, Voltorb, Chinchou, Mareep, Slugma, Elektrike, Litwick, and Morelull will also have increased spawn rates during the event.
Players using Incense will encounter Pokémon like Alolan Geodude, Hisuian Voltorb, Slugma, Volbeat, Illumise, Blitzle, Litwick, Litleo, Dedenne, Morellul, and Tadbulb. Event-exclusive Field Research tasks may lead to encounters with Darumaka, Morellul, and Tadbulb. Elekid, Magby, Dedenne, and Morellul will be added to seven-kilometer Eggs for the duration of the event.
Throughout the Festival of Lights, players can enjoy double Stardust and Candy for hatching Pokémon, as well as a doubled length of standard non-daily Incenses. Timed Research will be available, offering an event-themed shirt and encounters with featured Pokémon.
After the event ends, Tadbulb will continue to appear as a rare spawn, and Morellul will still have a chance to be encountered as a Shiny Pokémon.
