Pokémon Go players may soon have more ways to interact with each other as Niantic teases the release of a party play feature. This feature will allow players in close proximity to join small groups and adventure together. While no official confirmation or release date has been given, the teaser image and hashtag “#GoStartTheParty” suggest that the feature may be coming soon.
The party play feature is similar to the Union Circle feature in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, where players could join each other’s games and encounter version-exclusive Pokémon. Pokémon Go players speculate that party play could involve exclusive challenges and easier access to Raids. It may also integrate with the controversial Routes feature, allowing players to find rare Pokémon and items.
In the meantime, Pokémon Go will be celebrating the arrival of autumn with the Harvest Festival event on October 12. This event will feature Pokémon associated with nature and the changing seasons, including the debut of the Smoliv evolutionary line. Players can discover these new Pokémon even after the event ends.
