In the midst of the recent doxxing controversy involving JacksFilms, Pokimane has addressed haters who compared her to SSSniperWolf. She strongly opposes doxxing and believes that the comparisons are unjust.
The comparisons arose when a fan on Twitter shared photoshopped images of Pokimane and SSSniperWolf side by side, accompanied by the caption: “My platform lets me get away with anything starter pack.” This sentiment has been insinuated by another prominent streamer, Trainwreck, in the past.
While Pokimane acknowledges her own slip-ups, such as using racial slurs and accidentally displaying explicit content during her live streams, she has always apologized and made efforts to rectify the situation. However, she wants to make it crystal clear that she has never engaged in doxxing.
“I always try to apologize and improve when I make a mistake. It’s understandable if you haven’t forgiven me yet, but please refrain from comparing me to someone who committed a crime and endangered people’s safety,” explained the renowned Twitch streamer.
Furthermore, Pokimane expressed her disapproval of being associated with the notion that women can get away with anything, which is being propagated by her streaming detractors. She stands in support of JacksFilms and hopes that YouTube will step in to assist him.
Last week, JacksFilms accused SSSniperWolf of doxxing him by showing up at his house, recording the encounter, and subsequently sharing the video on Instagram. He described the incident as “creepy, gross, and violating.”
This feud between JacksFilms and SSSniperWolf began when JacksFilms criticized SSSniperWolf’s reaction videos. However, tensions escalated significantly after the doxxing incident.
JacksFilms is also disappointed with YouTube for not taking action against SSSniperWolf, which prompted some individuals to draw comparisons between her and Pokimane.
In response, JacksFilms’ fans have initiated a petition on Change.org, advocating for the permanent demonetization of SSSniperWolf’s YouTube channel. The number of signatures is rapidly increasing, with over 12,000 supporters at the time of writing.
