Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has added yet another celebrity to its star-studded lineup. Alongside Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba, Polish pop artist Dawid Podsiadło makes a hidden appearance in the game. Podsiadło not only provides the motion capture for the character Dante Caruso but also lends his voice to the Polish dubbing. In the English version, the character is voiced by Steven Cree.
This isn’t Podsiadło’s first collaboration with CD Projekt Red. He is the creator of the expansion’s theme song, “Phantom Liberty,” and previously composed “Let You Down,” which plays during the end credits of the Edgerunners anime.
In Poland, Podsiadło is an incredibly popular artist, with over 3 million listeners on Spotify and sold-out stadium tours. His presence in Cyberpunk 2077 adds another layer of excitement for his fans.
Unfortunately, Podsiadło’s character, Dante, only appears in one quest in Phantom Liberty. Players assist Bree, a journalist seeking important data, and must ultimately choose between supporting her or Dante. We won’t spoil the outcome for those who haven’t played it yet.
It’s worth noting that the quest has a different name in Polish, “W Dobrą Stronę,” which is one of Podsiadło’s biggest hits.
With Podsiadło’s involvement in CD Projekt Red’s projects thus far, it’s possible we may see him in the upcoming live-action adaptation. Only time will tell.
