Questgivers in WoW Classic Hardcore Can Be Deadly

Derek Morgan

In the world of World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore, danger can come from unexpected sources. It’s not just elevators, bridges, and ships that pose a threat to players, but even seemingly harmless questgivers. One player recently shared a video on the WoW Classic subreddit, showcasing how an unsuspecting Alliance player nearly met their demise by accepting a quest.

The quest in question was given by Torek in Ashenvale, and it turned out to be an escort quest. What surprised the player was that Torek, the NPC providing the quest, was PvP enabled, meaning he could attack Alliance players. Suddenly, this poor Druid, who was simply going about their business and heading to their next questing area, found themselves flagged for PvP and under attack by Torek and his aggressive group of mobs.

Fortunately, the Druid managed to survive the encounter by quickly healing themselves and shifting into Bear form. However, it was a close call, and they barely made it out alive. This incident serves as a warning to all Alliance players to avoid the area beyond the river where Torek and his gang spawn (coordinates 68, 75). If you must pass through, it’s best to take a detour to ensure your safety.

Torek and his group take approximately five to seven minutes to respawn after being defeated, so you never know when you might stumble upon them. Even if you manage to survive, you’ll still be PvP-flagged for at least five minutes, making you vulnerable to other Horde players in the area. It’s simply not worth risking your life in a Horde-dominated zone where danger lurks at every turn.

So, if you’re an Alliance player, exercise caution and avoid unnecessary risks. Stay vigilant and stay safe in your questing adventures!
