The highly anticipated Deep Freeze update for Rainbow Six: Siege is here, and it’s packed with thrilling new features. From a new map and operator to updates in the Reputation System and access to the marketplace beta, players are in for a treat.
Introducing the Marketplace
One of the biggest updates in a while, the marketplace allows players to buy and sell in-game items using R6 Credits. While real money is not involved, players can still trade their items and receive R6 Credits in return. This addition adds a whole new dimension to the game.
New Operator and Map
Deep Freeze introduces Tubarão, a Portuguese operator who utilizes Zoto Canisters. These canisters deploy a freezing agent that disables enemy and friendly gadgets, slows movement, and even records operator footprints. With a choice between an MPX or AR-15.50 as the primary weapon, Tubarão brings a unique playstyle to the game.
The new map, Deimos’ Lair, serves as the backdrop for the ongoing plot in Rainbow Six: Siege. With three distinct floors and multiple entrances, Ubisoft aims to break the stale meta by encouraging diverse gameplay styles.
Updates to the Reputation System
The Reputation System now includes a Grace Period, allowing players to improve their standing without penalties. Additionally, the new Commendation System enables players to reward each other for positive and non-toxic gameplay, resulting in increased Alpha Pack drops.
Exciting Additions
Deep Freeze also introduces two training systems: Versus AI and Map Training, providing players with opportunities to enhance their skills. In collaboration with the Street Fighter franchise, Ying receives a Chun-Li skin, while Grim gets a Ryu skin, adding a touch of crossover excitement to the game.
With all these exciting updates, Rainbow Six: Siege’s Deep Freeze season promises to deliver an enhanced and thrilling gaming experience for players.
