The character creator in Baldur’s Gate 3 allows you to bring almost any character you want into the game. Whether they are from the D&D universe or a different one, you can recreate them to your liking.
On Nov. 9, a BG3 player shared their character inspired by World of Warcraft – a perfect version of Arthas Menethil, also known as the Lich King. The character resembles Arthas during his human days, with his long blonde hair, green eyes, and facial features. This is Arthas before his transformation into a villain.
BG3 players on Reddit suggested the player embrace Necromancy and listen to any talking swords they find. It would have been even better if the game had Lilarcor from BG2, a beloved talking sword.
Another suggestion was to play as a Dark Urge Paladin, which would be a fitting choice for Arthas and his backstory. The Dark Urge origin offers a unique twist to BG3, allowing for more violent choices.
Players can create a story of a Paladin fighting the urge for bloodshed and becoming the hero of the story. Alternatively, they can take the opposite route and have a “paladin with a slow descent into madness.” One player shared their experience of starting as a good character and gradually turning evil after certain events – a perfect script for Arthas.
Whatever character you choose to recreate, BG3 offers endless possibilities. Each new game can be completely different from the previous one, allowing you to roleplay as a corrupted Paladin or the bravest hero in the world.
