Rev Up Your Engines: F-Zero 99 Unleashes Thrilling New Tracks

Tim Price

Get ready to soar through the Skyway once again as F-Zero 99 introduces five exhilarating new tracks to race on. Nintendo recently announced this exciting update on September 29th, igniting the anticipation of fans eager to hit the track. The Queens League tracks, including Mute City II, Port Town I, Red Canyon I, White Land II, and Death Wind II, are now available for players to test their skills.

It’s important to note that White Land II can only be accessed in Grand Prix mode, while Death Wind II is exclusive to Pro Tracks and Mini Prix. Brace yourself for the challenge that awaits on White Land II, as it features a treacherous gap that requires precise boosting or holding down to safely cross. Failure to do so will result in instant death, leaving you at a significant disadvantage.

Nintendo had previously revealed this information on September 15th, along with the announcement that the King League tracks will be released in mid-October. Furthermore, a recent datamine on September 18th hinted at the possibility of tracks from BS F-Zero 2 Grand Prix, a sequel to the original F-Zero, making their way into F-Zero 99. The datamine also uncovered a potential Survival Mode, which could take the battle royale aspect of the game to new heights.

When F-Zero 99 initially launched, it offered seven tracks for players to enjoy. However, the repetition eventually left many feeling bored. These regular updates are sure to breathe new life into the game, extending its longevity and delighting long-time fans who are thrilled to see the series back in the spotlight.
