Riot Games Introduces Headliner Mechanic in TFT Set 10: Remix Rumble

superadmin

Riot Games has revamped an old mechanic in Teamfight Tactics (TFT) and made it the main feature of Set 10, called Remix Rumble. This new set will last for four months and will not have a mid-set update. The theme of Remix Rumble is music, with each trait having its own unique musical track that plays when activated. Additionally, Riot has improved upon the Chosen mechanic from Set 4, making it more playable through the Headliner mechanic.

How the Headliner Mechanic Works in TFT Set 10

Similar to the Chosen mechanic, Headliner champions in TFT Set 10 are two-star units that appear in the shop and have a unique bonus ability. All 60 champions in Remix Rumble have a Headliner Effect, which provides a +1 bonus to the associated trait. Unlike the Chosen mechanic, players will see Headliner champions in the shop even if they already have one on the board, allowing for easier transitions and taking advantage of early-game Headliners. However, unless building a reroll comp with an early Headliner, it is recommended to sell the unit as the game progresses for a stronger late-game board.

Tips and Strategies for TFT Set 10 Headliners

  • All Headliner champions in the shop are at two-stars.
  • Each Headliner unit adds +1 to their associated trait, except for the Set 10 Portal Multi-Talented.
  • Every champion in Set 10 has a Headliner bonus.
  • A Headliner champion will appear in every shop if one is not already on the board.
  • Players using a Headliner champion in their composition will see other Headliners in the shop one out of four times.
  • To purchase a new Headliner champion from the shop, the previously purchased one must be sold first.
  • All Headliner champions remove three units from the champion pool.
  • The Headliner units that appear in the shop are random, with an algorithm ensuring players do not see the same ones repeatedly.
  • Once the number of a champion in the pool drops below half, it will no longer appear as a Headliner in the shop.
  • If a player has a Headliner in play, other Remix Rumble champions with the Headliner mechanic will appear in one out of every four shops. Players without a Headliner champion will see a Headliner unit in every shop.

Players can experience the new Headliner mechanic in TFT Set 10, which will be available on live servers starting from November 21st. Testing for the Remix Rumble set is also available on PBE servers before the official launch.
