Riot Games Urged to Make VALORANT Maps Bigger for More Gameplay Variety

superadmin

The ongoing rivalry between CS:GO and VALORANT has sparked a new debate as players argue that Riot Games’ maps in VALORANT are too small. Fans believe that the limited size of the maps hinders the potential of the game’s movement-based abilities.

Players are calling on Riot to create larger maps that can better accommodate the diverse range of movement abilities available in VALORANT. They suggest that maps should resemble the structure of some CS:GO maps to add variety and enhance gameplay.

However, the compact size of the maps in VALORANT may be intentional, as it helps maintain the delicate balance of the game’s core mechanics. The pre-round phase, where agents set up equipment, also contributes to the smaller map size.

Despite this, players express a desire for more variety in utilizing their abilities, including hopes for multi-leveled maps that could introduce new strategic elements. Some players even mention a VALORANT version of CS:GO’s Nuke as an exciting prospect.

While there is support for larger and more versatile maps, some players disagree. They point to the map Breeze as an example, which is currently the largest map in VALORANT. Its open layout forces players into long-range duels and requires longer rotations, which some players see as a drawback.

It remains to be seen whether Riot will heed the calls for bigger maps in VALORANT and take the risk of expanding the size of future maps.
