Bad news for Roadhog mains: the highly anticipated rework for the beloved tank hero is being delayed in Overwatch 2. The developers have not provided a specific launch date but assured players that it will still arrive in season seven. However, it won’t be included in the midseason patch expected in early November.
Despite the delay, Blizzard did share some additional information about the upcoming rework. Roadhog’s primary fire will be reworked, changes will be made to his Take a Breather ability, and an all-new ability will be added. The developers made last-minute tweaks to his kit, resulting in the delay but promising a release later in the season.
Unfortunately, the post lacks details about the new ability, leaving players curious about what to expect. Similar to the recent Sombra rework, it appears that Roadhog’s entire kit is undergoing significant adjustments.
This news adds to the ongoing disappointment surrounding Roadhog’s state in 2023. Earlier this year, Blizzard nerfed his viability by removing his one-shot capabilities without adequately compensating for the loss.
