The highly anticipated Season Five Reloaded update for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone is just around the corner, bringing with it a plethora of new content. Activision has confirmed that the update will launch on August 30, so players won’t have to wait long to dive back into the action.
One of the major highlights of Season Five Reloaded is the introduction of three new weapons. Players can look forward to getting their hands on the Lachmann Shroud SMG, the 9mm Daemon pistol, and a pickaxe melee weapon. These new additions can be found in a limited-time battle pass sector, which players can unlock by completing associated challenges.
In addition to the new weapons, a brand-new map called DRC Zone 1 will be introduced to Modern Warfare 2. Set in DMZ’s Building 21, this map is designed for fast-paced combat and offers various shortcuts and flanking routes. Communication and coordination among squad members will be crucial for success in this action-packed environment.
Season Five Reloaded also brings special guest operator bundles featuring 21 Savage and Lara Croft. These bundles include new operators, weapon blueprints, and customization options, allowing players to add a touch of uniqueness to their gameplay.
Furthermore, players can take on a new weapon camo challenge, which unlocks a fresh camo for every weapon within a specific archetype. For example, completing the challenge for assault rifles will unlock the new camo for all assault rifles. There is also a vehicle camo challenge that follows the same principle.
Warzone players can expect a refresh as well, with a new map for Resurgence, the return of Armored Royale mode, and new missions and tasks in DMZ. Whether you prefer Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone, there’s something exciting in store for everyone.
