Seraphine’s Role Shift: From Mid and Bot Lane to Support

superadmin

Seraphine, the Starry-Eyed Songstress, is undergoing changes in the next League of Legends update that aim to shift her back into a supporting role. The adjustments to her Q, W, and E abilities, as well as her base stats, are all geared towards enhancing her support strengths. These changes have been introduced on the League PBE for testing purposes.

One significant change is the adjustment to Seraphine’s mana. Her Surround Sound and Beat Drop abilities now have different mana costs, and her overall mana economy has been realigned to be more in line with other popular support champions like Sona, Janna, Milio, Karma, Nami, and Renata Glasc. Additionally, her health, armor, and attack speed have been tweaked.

It’s worth noting that Seraphine’s ultimate ability, Encore, and her Note-themed Stage Presence passive have not been altered in these changes. The adjustments are currently available for testing on the League PBE, but there is no official release date for when they will go live.

The need for these changes comes as no surprise to those who have been following competitive League of Legends. Seraphine has consistently achieved high win rates in the mid and bot lanes throughout the season, according to League stats site Lolalytics. When played as an ability power bot laner, she boasts a win rate of 53.30 percent, and she maintains a balanced 50 percent win rate when played in solo lanes. However, as a support pick, she has only been chosen in around 8,000 games on the 13.20 patch, with a win rate of just 49.24 percent.

While Riot Games has not specified the release date for these changes, it is expected that they will be included in League Patch 13.21, which is set to be released on Wednesday, October 25. However, it’s important to note that these adjustments are still subject to change and may be removed before going live.
