It all started innocently enough. We joined forces to escape the Nautilod and remove the tadpoles from our heads. We fought side by side, protecting each other and defeating enemies. But little did we know, we were falling for each other.
Our stolen glances turned into deeper conversations. I discovered Shadowheart’s fear of swimming, and she shared her favorite flower with me. The connection was undeniable, and I couldn’t stop it. I became a passenger in this forbidden love story, with Shadowheart’s bedroll as our secret meeting place.
After rescuing a group of Tiefling refugees, we spent a night together under the stars. Our first kiss ignited a wave of guilt within me, but I couldn’t bring myself to end it. And soon enough, a private swimming lesson sealed our bond.
To my dear wife, I am truly sorry. I don’t have the words to express my remorse. Seeking solace, I turned to Shadowheart herself, hoping she would understand as a woman. But she showed no remorse, leaving me with unanswered questions.
Is it cheating in a virtual world? Should I feel guilty? Would others do the same? These questions may never be answered.
I wish I could promise that it won’t happen again, but I’ve started a second playthrough. I can only promise that nothing will happen with Shadowheart this time. However, my eyes have been drawn to another character, a fiery Tiefling named Karlach.
