The latest patch for Marvel Snap has arrived, bringing some much-needed tweaks to the game. One of the most annoying cards, Spider-Ham, has finally received a nerf. Previously, this two-cost card could instantly wreck the opponent’s highest-cost card by removing its text and abilities. However, the developers felt that this was too damaging to some of the cooler six-cost cards. As a result, Spider-Ham’s ability has been changed to transform the leftmost card in the opponent’s hand into a Pig, while keeping its Power and Cost. This change makes the effect easier to play around and prevents it from exclusively targeting higher-cost cards.
In addition to Spider-Ham, Absorbing Man and the Soul Stone card created by Thanos have also been nerfed. Absorbing Man’s Power has been reduced from five to four, while the Soul Stone card will no longer add an additional card to the hand.
On the other hand, there are also some buffs in this patch. Blade now has the ability to discard the rightmost card from your hand, providing more control over which card is discarded. Snowguard has been reworked and will now have a two-cost, three-Power stat line when transformed into a Bear or Hawk.
The September patch also introduces new features to Marvel Snap. Players can now see their rank in the Infinite Rank Leaderboard, which is determined by Snap Points (SP) earned through winning cubes. The patch also includes the schedule for the Spotlight Caches for the month of September, featuring various characters such as Jeff the Baby Land Shark, Ghost-Spider, Knull, Alioth, Snowguard, Hit-Monkey, Ravonna Renslayer, Jean Grey, Zabu, Mobius M. Mobius, High Evolutionary, and Kang the Conqueror.
