The highly anticipated Star Wars Hunters game has been hit with yet another delay, pushing its release date to 2024. The developers at Zynga, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, made the difficult decision to postpone the worldwide launch in order to ensure the highest level of quality.
In their official statement, the dev team mentioned their desire to incorporate additional features, such as a ranked mode, into the game before its release. They are working hard to enhance the core gameplay mechanics and bring exciting new elements to the table.
Star Wars Hunters is now scheduled for a global release in 2024 on Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS devices. Take-Two had previously stated in their quarterly earnings report that they expected the game to launch later in the fiscal year. If this goal remains unchanged, the worldwide release will take place no later than March 2024.
This is not the first delay for Star Wars Hunters, as it was initially pushed back to 2023 in July 2022. The game was officially unveiled in September 2021 as a third-person arena shooter, featuring a diverse cast of original characters with unique abilities.
Limited testing periods and a soft launch have already taken place, introducing new game modes, maps, and characters. However, these updates were only available for iOS devices and in specific regions.
