The highly anticipated game, Starfield, developed by Bethesda, is proving to be a colossal undertaking. With its vast scale and size, it is no wonder that even after 160 hours of gameplay, the developers are nowhere near completing a full playthrough.
As Bethesda’s first new IP in 25 years, Starfield has captured the attention of fans worldwide. Offering an astonishing number of over 1,000 planets to explore, the game promises countless hours of gameplay.
When asked about the estimated time for a full playthrough, Phil Hines, one of the developers, couldn’t provide a definitive answer due to the game’s immense scope. He revealed that he has already spent 160 hours playing and still has a long way to go. Feedback from players who have had a chance to experience the game echoes this sentiment, confirming that Bethesda was not exaggerating about the size and scale of Starfield.
For those familiar with Bethesda’s previous titles, such as Skyrim and Fallout 4, the extensive gameplay of Starfield should come as no surprise. Completing 100 percent of Skyrim, for example, can take over 200 hours.
One question that remains unanswered is whether achieving 100 percent completion in Starfield is even possible. With the sheer magnitude of the game, it would require players to visit and complete tasks on every single planet in the universe of Starfield.
With its massive scale and ongoing content updates, Starfield is sure to keep players engaged for a long time to come. The upcoming Shattered Space DLC will only add to the already abundant content available.
