Starfield: From Challenging to Easy
Starfield, the highly anticipated release from Bethesda, has been met with mixed reviews. Critics argue that the game lacks challenge and is relatively easy. However, it has now been revealed that the game was initially much harder during development, but the developers decided to tone it down.
During a recent podcast, Todd Howard, the director and producer of Starfield, shared some insights into the making of the game. He explained that the game’s environment system, which features different biomes on each planet, was originally designed to be more dangerous and required unique suits for players. However, the developers decided to “nerf the hell out of it” in order to improve gameplay and allow players to focus on other aspects of the game.
It is not uncommon for features to be cut or adjusted during the development process, especially for a game as expansive as Starfield. With its vast exploration opportunities and new mechanics like space battles, the developers had to make some sacrifices to ensure a balanced and enjoyable experience for players.
While the game has received overall positive reviews, some players have criticized its repetitive gameplay and similarities to other Bethesda games. Despite this, Starfield remains highly anticipated and has generated significant interest among gamers.
