A bizarre bug has been discovered in Counter-Strike 2, exposing players to a strange glitch on the Vertigo map. The glitch causes walls to become invisible, allowing lucky CT players to see through most of the textures. While objects like fans, props, and traffic cones are still visible, everything else disappears. Interestingly, enemies remain fully visible, making this glitch quite unique.
This glitch, which was first noticed on October 4th, is not yet exploitable. However, similar issues have occurred since the game’s release. For example, players have observed maps colliding, with walls from one map appearing inside another. In this case, it seems that the Ancient skybox was loaded instead of Vertigo, as evidenced by its presence at the bottom of the map in the video.
These types of bugs have been occurring frequently within the community. Given that Counter-Strike 2 has only been available to the public for a short time, it is likely that more bugs will surface in the future. The concern is whether these glitches will impact the professional scene, particularly with the upcoming IEM Sydney 2023 tournament and its substantial prize pool of $250,000. There is a growing fear that such bugs may manifest during the event.
Valve, the developer of Counter-Strike, has remained silent about these new issues, leaving players and professionals uncertain about the game’s readiness. Despite concerns, many players have no choice but to continue playing CS2 since CS:GO servers have been shut down.
It remains to be seen how these glitches will be addressed and whether they will affect the competitive integrity of the game. Players and fans alike are eagerly awaiting updates from Valve regarding these issues.
