Less than a week after its release on Nintendo Switch, Suika Game, also known as Watermelon Game, is already receiving its first update. The latest patch, which went live on October 23, 2023, brings exciting changes to the game.
English Text Option
One of the significant updates in this patch is the addition of an English text option. Due to the game’s popularity among English-speaking players and content creators, Aladdin X, the game developer, has responded by allowing players to switch the in-game text from Japanese to English. Although the game still launches in Japanese, players can easily change the language from the main menu.
Spooky Halloween Theme
Just in time for Halloween, Suika Game has received a spooky makeover. With the new Halloween theme, players can enjoy a darker background, fruits with menacing and scary expressions, and a catchy new theme song. In the spirit of the season, players now aim to create and merge Halloween pumpkins instead of watermelons.
Additionally, from October 28 to November 3, a Halloween event will take place. At the end of each day, the player who ranks first on the leaderboards will receive a special present. While the nature of the gift remains a mystery, Aladdin X has promised it will be wonderful.
