Dota 2’s The International 2023 is back with the first stage of its main event, and OG’s coverage hub hosted by N0tail and Gorgc. The duo continues to feature more “very special guests,” kicking the stream with former TI winner, SumaiL Hassan who put an end to a long-standing debate on the stream.
SumaiL Settles Debate on Best Carry Player in Dota 2 2023
The highly anticipated appearance of SumaiL Hassan on OG’s coverage hub finally revealed the best carry player in Dota 2 for 2023. Team Spirit’s Yatoro claimed the top spot on SumaiL’s tier list, while Miracle- received praise as the best hybrid carry player.
Miracle-‘s status in the tier lists has been a topic of debate in the OG Dota 2 hub. Despite taking the season off, SumaiL acknowledged his skill and versatility. However, Yatoro was deemed the best carry player by SumaiL.
Gorgc’s opinion on the matter received criticism from the community and Yatoro himself. Fans believed it was an unfair comparison as Nightfall, whom Gorgc mentioned, did not play in the same position as Yatoro for a significant portion of the year.
Yatoro’s Team Spirit has advanced to the upper bracket semi-finals of TI 2023, while Nightfall’s BetBoom Team will have to fight to stay in the tournament in the lower bracket.
Although Miracle- hasn’t been seen in a prime-time event recently, his legacy remains strong as he is consistently mentioned in discussions about the best core player.
